DAILY CULTURAL LUNCHES
Monday through Friday, participants enjoy culturally-sensitive hot meals in an inviting community dining setting with their peers. The nutritious lunches meet one-third of the Recommended Dietary Allowances (RDA) requirements for healthy people. The API Center setting is a cheerful, colorful environment that reflects the participants culture and addresses participants health/wellness and social needs.
COMMUNITY SHOPPING AND OUTINGS
The staff at the Asian Pacific Islander Center engage participants in exciting shopping trips for cultural foods and purchasing items of interests in Chinatown. Shopping enables aging participants to continue to feel self-sufficient, socialize with peers, and remain involved in activities that many are no longer able to accomplish alone due to health and mobility problems.
